In late May, we had the pleasure of having my Dad out here for my Niece's graduation (which I'll have pictures shortly Tim, I promise!) and it was great to see him!! My parents used to live in Cambria, where I went to high school but they moved about a year ago or so to an amazing house that we love in Idaho.
Side note: There's a wonderful house for sale in Cambria and it's one heck of a deal if I do say so myself. If you're looking for a great place, email me and I'll send you the address!
Back to our story... Unfortunately, my Mom wasn't able to come out this time, but she will be out here shortly I'm sure with the new going's on. But I figured since Dad was out here, I would take a few pictures of him, some with us, and some of just Dad. I'm bummed, because I didn't get him enjoying a nap or enjoying some of the never ending candy we have around the house ("is it chocolate?"). I know I'll have another chance to capture that though :)
Needless to say I admire my Dad and I love him a lot! We weren't always on the best terms, but that is water under the bridge! As I've grown up and started down the path now of being a dad myself, I don't know how he did it, but I hope I can do just as good of a job as Dad did with me. Of course, I don't want my Mom to feel left out, I love her a ton too, but I'll save that for when I get to take pictures of her!
Dad, I love you so much and am honored to be your son! Thanks for being such a great Dad and a great friend! And thanks for putting up with me and the, "oooh, try this...". Mom, you're next... ;)
What a handsome devil...
Dad wondering how long it took to grow the fur on my face, which is now shaved off...
It's gonna take another 6 months to grow that back, oh well :D
It got really chilly on volleyball night...
I think this is my favorite of the day, my Dad and my sister Lisa, one of these day's, we'll get a complete family shot...
Right before we headed out with the crew to get food after vball. Lisa and Dad were sitting in her car because it got chilly...
I love you Dad, thanks for being so unbelievably great!!
