: Ramble on...

This is a no pic post, sorry... I'll have some tomorrow, to catch up for my "weekend off" and "I'll do it before I go to bed" posts from Monday and Tuesday. Turns out if you pass out on the couch with your wife after your daughter goes down and wake up at 2 in the morning with a crick in your back from laying sideways and your contacts stuck to your eyeballs, the last thing your thinking about is a posting. So with that said...

I played basketball today at a local park in Brea with my BiL Grant and friends Jude & DJ. Holy cow. Seriously. Holy. Cow. I used to play in high school (play meaning sitting on the bench, but that's a whole other subject, not a big fan of my "coach") but meaning I was used to running and all that active stuff. Oh my. Thankfully, we started out with half court, otherwise, I'm pretty certain my body would've revolted and shut down on me. We ended up running full court for a game and then played some half court for a while, it was pretty great though. It felt good to get out there and shoot again, and I'm happy to report I didn't suck it up as bad as I thought I would. I actually hit a couple shots, considering that it's been YEARS since I've played and probably 2 to 3 years since I've shot, I was okay with that. Of course, my body isn't happy with me right now, really sore and I can imagine tomorrow will be "fun"...

Speaking of basketball, I LOVE this time of year!! March madness is SO great!! So many games going, joining a tourney pool (which I never seem to do to well in) with family, constantly checking how the bracket's doing, how far USC is going to make it and how early ucla will exit (Sorry Hodges and all bruin fans, requirement :D)

Alright, time to go dream of winning it all, and just enjoying truly, one of the greatest times of year! Aloha to all, especially to our family, just want you guys to know how much we miss and love you! And more Charlie pics are coming, promise!
