Our friends Bobby & Amy were over the other night and thankfully, they're always up for some of my "let's try…" photo experimentation… Bobby was first up & then it was time to bring his wife out for some added fun…
Here's the set up, a tripod, 30 second's, a flash & a flashlight. Sprinkle in some running back and forth fun and let the magic happen! This is going to be fun to use in the future…
This was one of the first attempts, thank you to Costco for some delicious pizza! :)

I love this! I've been wanting to do a shot like this for quite a while now, and the opportunity for fun now is endless…

This was one of the last pictures of them I took. My original thought was afro for Bobby and some 80's hair for Amy… about a quarter of the way in I realized I had made the fro way too big, then I was just playing around. But seriously - this is going to be fun!

2 engagement shoots coming up this weekend, so stay tuned for that & then an announcement for some family shoot specials beginning in April! Until then - aloooooha!!

Kind. Wonderful. Salt of the Earth. Generous. Amazing... These are only a few words to describe Marsha & Wyman and the whole Shanks family. I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Marsha and Wyman and the Shanks family for about 12 years. Marsha and Wyman are some of the nicest, most genuine, compassionate and all around wicked awesome people you will ever have the chance to know and the same goes for their entire family. I really can’t say enough amazing things about them, it really is an honor to call the whole family, friends. As with most families, some have moved… Michelle, Mark and their 3 boys (who are such a crack up!!) moved out to Kentucky, Scott & Alisa are out in beautiful Colorado raising their son, and Amy, Carl and their 2 boys are close by (and who’s family I did a year or two ago). But they were all out here for Christmas and wanted to do a family shoot... hmm, people that we love and pictures – okay, if I have to :D

A huge thank you to Marsha and Wyman for being so amazing and raising such wonderful children! You are both a wonderful role models for our family and thank you for all the love and support you have shown us in the past 12 years! To the whole Shanks Family, it was wonderful to see you all again, you are all absolutely awesome! Aloha!

Amy & Bryce: Wedding

I had the wonderful opportunity to be a second shooter for the amazingly talented Amelia Lyon today, and it was an honor to be there!

The day started out at the Double Tree, I was with the guys and they were a blast to be with! And Amy surprised Bryce with a little present before the ceremony... an amazing watch which Bryce was really excited about! That's where they also came up with their Ring Pop idea, which was hilarious!

From there, we went to the Bower Museum to shoot some of the bridal party shots and then it was off to The Hacienda for the ceremony and reception. The Hacienda was a beautiful location with some wonderful lighting, doors and amazing food! And talk about a small world... I ran into my friend Owen, who I knew back in high school (I was a senior and he was a freshman). Crazy!

The whole day was amazing, and it was an honor to be there! Thanks to Amelia for letting me second, and a special thanks to Amy & Bryce for being amazing to shoot!
